About

Niki Lindroth von Bahr is an artist, sculptor and animation director based in Stockholm. Her award-winning animated films Tord and Tord (2010), Bath House (2014), The Burden (2017) and Something To Remember (2019) are all created through hand made stop motion animation with animal puppets in highly detailed miniature landscapes. These modern fables explore both political and existential themes. By distorting human behaviour and human environments Niki manages to throw light upon some of the most trivial yet fascinating aspects of our everyday life.

Niki Lindroth von Bahr lives and works in Stockholm. She has had numerous exhibitions in Sweden and her films have been screened at festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale and Sundance. Nikis highly acclaimed solo exhibition at Färgfabriken in 2019 was the most visited in the history of the gallery.
